Our Mission

The Horry County Firefighter's Relief Fund has been in operation since 2009. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting the membership of seven fire departments in Horry County. These include Myrtle Beach Fire, Surfside Beach Fire, Conway Fire, Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire, Horry County Fire Rescue, North Myrtle Beach Fire and Loris Fire. Whether affected by injury or life-threatening illness, our goal is to provide as much relief as possible when they need it most.

Who We Are

  • Provides assistance to firefighters, rescue workers and their families from all seven fire and EMS departments in Horry County during times of need and/or hardships.
  • Provides assistance to families of local first responders during funeral and memorial services.
  • Provides scholarship opportunities through Horry-Georgetown Technical College for local students going into the Fire and/or EMS curriculums.
  • Provides funds for holiday meals to all departments that work during the Christmas Holiday.
  • Donating time and resources to our families and surrounding community members.
  • Our Fund sponsors two children annually to a trip to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)'s Burned Children's Fund Camp Can-Do. This trip helps children with the opportunity to participate in activities toward creating positive self-images while surrounded by peers who share similar medical experiences.
